^Lot 78 Marbles Game Getter .22 & .44 #2808

Type A with peep sight. Produced 1908-1918. Combination gun features rifle barrel for 22 S/L/LR over 410 shotgun barrel for 2" shells, or for .44 Game Getter cartridges. This model is stamped "MARBLE'S GAME GETTER GUN" and "MARBLE ARMS & MFG. CO. GLADSTONE, MICH. U.S.A" on the left side. The serial number is on the frame, below the barrels. Barrels are 18", brass bead blade front sight, adjustable rear sight over chambers, Marbles peep tang sight. Shotgun barrel has CYL choke. Barrels are selected by moving the hammer nose. Action is opened by sliding the triggerguard, the adjustable under folding skeleton stock folds by depressing a lever on the fore strap Rifle bore is good condition/bright. Shotgun bore is fair, worn rifling, has some scattered pitting. Retains about 90% blue, with some holster/edge wear, some scratches, scuffs, mostly on the left chamber. Checkered black hard rubber grips with Marble's motifs are overall very good with a a minor chip on the bottom of the left panel. Folding wire stock retains 90% or better nickel or chrome finish. Markings are crisp, Action is crisp, tight. Comes with the rare original brown leather holster with strap. Holster is stamped "Marble Trade Mark". Scuffed but stitching intact with no rips or tears.
